Updates are harder than they look

So a recap of my life since Monday:

Monday: Wasted my life until Gugz called me and I went to her house. We sat by the pool with Kylee for a bit. She left and was replaced with Tory and her friend from school. There is nothing more enjoyable than sitting poolside on a gorgeous day with your friends, an ice cream sundae and vodka. We made another liquor run and saw Kerry. We then went our separate ways to clean up. In that time it managed to rain AGAIN. Our bonfire at some random house was rained out and we relocated to Tory's for the night. I am now in love with Salt Creek take out, Salt Creek garlic fries and Mini Coopers. I am also considering living in LA next summer. Is there a PB kids in LA? I'm going to look that up-Yes! and it's even in a place called the Grove. Whooo job next summer in LA.

Tuesday: I'm almost certain all I did was clean my room. But I effing love those Mr.Clean Magic Erasers. Magical.... I had Chinese with my dad for dinner where as usual he brought up everything I've ever done wrong for the 1000th time.

Wednesday: FIRST DAY OF WORK. Can you believe it? We had to unload and unpack boxes of supplies.

Okay I'm tired and bored and have work at 7:30 am. Bed time. Good night!

Maybe it's because I'm white but...

I really like this site.

Plus there's a book coming out in a few days. I feel like this might not be appropriate to read in public.

Teen Pregnancy

Dear Pregnant Teens of Gloucester, Massachusetts,

What.the.fuck.

Trying to get pregnant as part of a pact with your friends...are you retarded? I've made pacts with my friends, usually they're to avoid doing particular embarrassing things (like getting pregnant!).

Love,
the girl with only 2.5 months left of being a teenager and therefore will never be a teen age mother

Read about it here.

I Love Sheryl Crow

Her new song and video, out just a few days ago and I love it. It reminds me of something the Beatles might sing.

Girl Scout Cookies

Well, this makes me depressed.

Red Bank Green

Red Bank Green is an online news site that I actually find pretty interesting. The stories all revolve around this area. There is news, restaurant reviews, upcoming event etc. It kept me entertained for a whole fifteen minutes which is longer than most things.

The more I write, the more I realize how unproductive I am

So after waking up freakishly early on Saturday and being ready to go to the beach club since 9 am, I had to wait around for four more hours for my high maintenance mother. We grabbed lunch at the godforsaken snack bar. I spent the rest of the afternoon reading Martha Stewart Living hahaha. DJ & Christy were there too. I went to Ship Ahoy to see Jacqueline and Kellyann for a bit.

That night I made dinner. Probably the most intense dinner of my life. Prosciutto wrapped scallops, followed by lobster with a side of corn on the cob and breadcrumb and gruyere stuffed tomatoes. The tomatoes were amazing. I'll probably make those once a week from now on. Here's the recipe.

Gugz wanted to have a pool party but the torrential downpour put a hold on that. We ended up hanging out in the upstairs den, without power.

I woke up Sunday, still drunk, in a twin bed with Kellyann, about a foot from an empty bed and empty couch. What can I say?

Sunday I basically tried to sober up all day and it didn't work out to well. I didn't really do anything at all. Whoops, waste of life.

Today I woke up at noon, made lunch, made plans with Gugz and am currently waiting for her to give me a call. Until then, I''ll post some more interesting stuff.

Proof I am not the laziest human being ever

Woman sits on boyfriend's toilet for 2 years.

Clearly, I Suck

So, I haven't updated in a week and please let's not confuse that with me having a life. I'll start from where I left off.

Saturday night: Went to Sand's, had a few beers there then headed to Drew's. Umm, nothing too exciting.

Sunday: The biggest shit show of my life. We took an airport shuttle van thing to Giant's stadium. Mind you it was 12 people in a van and 100 degrees. Cue flashback of Africa. We looked like a big American freakshow, dressed in red, white and blue with oodles of flags and ridiculous accessories. The boys were all in lacrosse pinnies which I was very jealous of. We didn't have too much time to tailgate so we pounded what we had and went inside. I sincerely apologize to anyone and everyone sitting around us. All of the boys were shirtless, screaming profanities. Taryn was asleep in her lap. After the game, Max and his new best friend destroyed a car that earlier tried to park in our tailgating area. They punched out the side mirrors, ripped off the windshield wipers, let the air out of the tires, tore off the gas cap, and to finish it off poured a beer down the tank. According to others and my pictures, we continued to drink on the ride home. Bad idea. Tim got out of the van while we were stuck in traffic. Andrew pissed into a bottle. Johnny vommed all of the side of the van once we got back. We're a classy bunch. No more vodka-rootbeer.

Monday: Woke up not knowing how I got home, where my wristlet, bag, cell phone, or camera were. I believe I went to the beach all day. All the days kind of blend together but I think Taryn, Jackie and Andrew came by later that afternoon and we tried to gather facts about the game. I mooched a delicious dinner off some random birthday party for one of my mom's friends. There is nothing like eating steak and drinking vodka on a lounge chair at the beach. Taryn and I went over to Jackie's...James stopped by...I have no recollection of what else we did.

Tuesday: The hottest day ever. I was at Sand's all day just going in the pool, drying off, putting on suntan lotion and repeating this process every 20 minutes. Going to the beach by yourself is incredibly boring. Especially if your entire front side is burned and there is no one to put lotion on your back. I had dinner at the beach with my mama and Jackie. We then went to Jackie's and painted our nails. Taryn came over too. I have no idea what else we did.

Wednesday: I'm pretty sure I did nothing all day and only left the house once to get Starbucks. My psychopath of a mother gave me this card thats good for free iced coffee every Wednesday all summer. Wheeee coffee! That night I went over to Jackie's for margaritas and I love the 80's with Taryn, James, Tim and Andrew. Jackie is fascinated by the fact that cow farts are depleting the ozone layer. We are so cool.

Thursday: Had my Pottery Barn Kids orientation. Most pointless 4 hours of my life. Explain to me how watching videos about a hospital in Tennessee is relevant to selling children's furniture. It's not. I later had dinner with my daddy and grandma. I have decided to elope so that my family need not be at my wedding.

Friday: Slept til 1. I am a waste of life. Made lunch and went to Alley's birthday party. I do not recommend eating one meal then drinking for 8 hours. Jack picked me up and I hung out with Drew and Tim at Tim's for a bit. I love Patti. Then we headed over to Drew's where some others joined us. Another wild night. Notice the sarcasm.

I will try to update more for all (2) of my adoring fans (Marnie and Laura).

Life

Last night Taryn and I ended up going out for pizza, listening to Paper Planes by MIA at least a dozen times, quick stop at Andy K's, more pizza...Jacqueline came over a little later and we got all dolled up, picked up James and Andrew and headed to Max's. Jacqueline and I got shut out by Max and his brother in pong and had to sit under the table for a game. Everyone forgot we were there once time was up. I experienced my first keg stand. I guess practice will make perfect. Then we ordered Nelly's and I fell in love. We called a cab to go home and proceeded to wait/nap for the cab in Taryn's car. James was in the trunk. Taryn proceeded to tell the cab driver he was bad ass.

This morning the girls and I went to Sand's at the crack of dawn (I hate you Taryn) but not without our traditional Saturday morning 1/2 a pork roll, egg and cheese on a 7 grain roll. After acquiring a nice sunburn, not going in the pool or ocean, I headed out.

I am currently at home, sweating my ass off, with no plans for the evening.

Tomorrow is James' birthday partay at the USA vs. Argentina soccer game. We're taking a shuttle van up and tailgating of course. Let the games begin.

Life Update

Bad news: Lia canceled on me. Good news: I GOT A JOB.
Orientation is Thursday and I'd officially start the following Wednesday. I would also be able to pick up hours at the store near school in the Fall/Winter. I'm going to have to quit hostessing but oh well.

My first purchase, using my employee discount of course, might be this sheet set. Thoughts?

Life

I woke up at 8 thinking my interview was at 10 when really it is at 11. There's no use in going back to sleep now. I'll just make breakfast and get ready.
Later today I'm going into the city with Lia for a little happy hour festivity. I hope I can squeeze in the gym before we go. So yeah, an action packed day for me: interview, gym, city. I can't handle the excitement. Not.

Playing Dress Up

Remember those naked paper dolls that you dressed up in paper clothes? This is the digital age version plus links to purchase the clothes. I'm in love.

PBK!

I have an interview for Pottery Barn Kids tomorrow!

$$$

A main contributor to my extreme boredom is the unemployment factor. Samantha knows what I'm talking about. Technically, I have a job; one day a week hostessing. That isn't enough to fund my expensive tastes. Anyway, by the power of boredom combined with poverty I've come across these two websites and I haven't explored them extensively so if they blow, I apologize.

Girls Just Wanna Have Funds

Savvy Sugar

PS. The links on the left hand side of Savvy Sugar are great too!

Greetings!

I plan on keeping up with this although I'll admit my track record isn't great. After I tweak a few things like the colors and fonts, I'll be back with real posts!
